Whether you're bringing an RV or pitching a tent, our camping facilities offer beautiful views and easy access to all the event excitement. Prefer a hotel? Manhattan, KS, has plenty of nearby accommodations to suit all budgets, just a short drive from the festival grounds. Book early to secure your spot, and get ready for a memorable stay in the heart of the Flint Hills!


WHAT TO EAT
We're thrilled to announce our exclusive food and beverage partner: Sodexo at K-State. Known for their exceptional culinary expertise and commitment to quality, Sodexo will be serving up a delicious array of food and drinks throughout the festival grounds. From fan favorites to local flavors, Sodexo ensures that every festival-goer's culinary experience is as memorable as the music lineup.
What are the festival hours?
Friday August 8: 3:00 PM – 10:45 PM
Saturday August 9: 3:00 PM – 10:45 PM
Gates open at 2:00 PM each day.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online starting March 14, 2025. Ticketing options will be listed on our official website.
Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, re-entry is allowed for both GA and VIP ticket holders. Official event wristbands must remain intact.
Are kids allowed?
Rock the Plains is an all-ages event but everyone needs a ticket.
Will alcohol be sold at the festival?
Yes, alcohol will be sold from 2:00 PM – 10:45 PM each day in designated areas. Must be 21+ with a valid ID.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Is camping available?
Camping is available August 7-10. Camping passes must be purchased separately.
What are the quiet hours for camping?
Quiet hours are 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Can I bring alcohol to the campsite?
Yes, alcohol is allowed in the camping areas but may not be brought into the festival grounds.
What if assistance is needed in the camping area?
Private Security and Riley County PD will patrol the camping area.
Where do I park?
General Parking is available near the festival site and requires a parking pass.
VIP Parking is included with VIP tickets.
Camping Parking is included with a camping pass.
CAMPING & PARKING
What security measures are in place?
Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and Riley County Police Department will be onsite.
Security screenings will take place at all entrances.
Medical personnel and EMS teams will be stationed throughout the event.
What should I do in case of an emergency?
Visit the nearest First Aid Tent or locate the nearest security personnel.
Are there prohibited items?
Yes, the following items are not allowed:

SAFETY & SECURITY
What happens if it rains?
Rock the Plains is rain or shine. However, in case of severe weather, safety precautions will be taken, and updates will be provided.
Is there a lost & found?
Yes, the Lost & Found will be located at the Main Info Tent near the entrance.
Will there be ATMs on-site?
No. Rock The Plains strives s to be a cashless event. Please be prepared as so.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed except for registered service animals.
Will there be medical staff on-site?
Yes, EMS and Fire Department personnel will be on-site with designated Tents.
